Since the establishment of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone (or the Shanghai FTZ) in September 2013, a series of reforming and innovative policies and rules with respect to such areas as foreign investment, finance, foreign exchange and tax in the Shanghai FTZ have been introduced and implemented by various PRC government authorities, which attracted quite a lot of interest and attention from all over the world. In an effort to help our friends better understand what is going on with the Shanghai FTZ and the opportunities therein, Han Yi lawyers have prepared this memorandum to briefly summarize and analyze from a comparative perspective all major PRC regulatory developments in the Shanghai FTZ.
