Anna Yu is a partner of Han Yi. She specializes in the areas of private equity investment, M&A, capital market, general corporate matters and outbound investment. She has led quite a number of large-scale private equity investments and M&A transactions, initial and follow-on public offerings in both domestic and offshore stock markets, and restructurings involving public and multinational companies. Ms. Yu has served many institutional clients, large-scale PRC state-owned enterprises and public companies from such diverse industries as TMT, distribution, financial services, pharmaceuticals, general manufacturing, real estate and hotel management. Prior to joining Han Yi, Ms. Yu worked in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis and practiced with Jingtian & Gongcheng for several years, where she was extensively involved in corporate restructurings, domestic and international securities offerings, M&A, and foreign direct investments by serving leading PRC state-owned companies, public Chinese companies and international institutional clients.
Ms. Yu has been recognized as one of the "Leading Individuals" in China’s private equity practice area by The Legal 500 in its 2023 attorney rankings, and as a "Rising Star Partner" in this field by IFLR1000 for the past several years. She co-authored the inaugural edition of Chambers' 2019 Global Practice Guide for Private Equity in China.
Ms. Yu was educated at the University of Chicago (LL.M.) and East China University of Political Science and Law (LL.B.). She is admitted to the Chinese bar and qualified to practice in the State of California, and is fluent in English and Chinese.
