LYNN ZHANG Partner

Lynn Zhang is a partner of Han Yi. She focuses on the practice areas of formation and deployment of private equity funds, M&A, blockchain, project financing and banking, foreign-related dispute resolutions, labor law and general corporate matters. Ms. Zhang has advised on numerous cross-border M&A transactions involving such industries as healthcare, real estate, blockchain, financial services, TMT, education, chemical, energy, hotel management, food, retail, farming and general manufacturing. She has served leading private equity and venture capital funds, hedge fund clients, crypto funds as well as industrial investors. Ms. Zhang has extensive experience in dispute resolution and routinely assists clients to resolve disputes, including those concerning joint ventures and crypto assets. In the general corporate practice area, Ms. Zhang has advised various institutional investors and multinational companies on transfer and license of intellectual property rights, financing, outbound investment and antitrust matters. In addition, Ms. Zhang is familiar with the establishment and deployment of various RMB investment funds and crypto funds and frequently advises clients in this area.


Ms. Zhang is an industrial pioneer in blockchain, cryptocurrency and other digital assets and authored a series of widely circulated articles covering such topics as compliance issues in cryptocurrency mining, lending and trading activities, regulatory frameworks for stablecoins such as Libra around the world, security token offerings (STO) as a new financial instrument held on blockchain, and legal risks associated with capital injection with cryptocurrencies, among others.


Ms. Zhang was educated at Peking University (LL.M.) and Suzhou University (B.A. in Sociology). She is admitted to the Chinese bar and is fluent in English and Chinese.
